Never got our recliner

Ordered a recliner Dec 13, 2023. Told first week of January 2024.

No chair, then told Jan 15. No chair, then told end of January. Finally on Feb 3rd asked for a refund. We paid cash.

They said it would be 2 weeks for a check. Unacceptable. Told us we could get a cash refund, but they had to wait for a customer to come in and pay cash, and that usually happens on a weekend. Today is Monday.

We were referred to a mgr in Tucson, and guess what, he told us we could go to the green valley store and get a cash refund. This is the same store that just got done telling us they had no cash!!

Scam artists in my opinion.

Very disappointed and extremely upset. They've had our money for almost 2 months and we have nothing.

Bad Delivery Service

For the second time Levitz delivery drivers said they could not make a furniture delivery to my house. I live on a dirt road here in Casas Adobes. Customer Service told me they have a policy that drivers are responsible for any damage to their truck. They were supposed to put the recliner on a smaller truck this AM and deliver it to me. I called them for an estimated arrival time and they said it was not loaded for an undisclosed reason. Meanwhile my wife, who is housebound is without a new chair. Thanks for nothing SamLevitz delivery folks!

Not happy with the way your floor manager handle my situation

Purchase a dining room table from you try to get it delivered and set up to my house before Thanksgiving let's tow that was impossible to go early she could get it was Friday so the salesman Michael suggested that I pick it up and I can put it together myself I said okay I will pick it up today or tomorrow and we'll do that but after making the purchase I was informed by the floor manager and that the table would not be delivered to the store for 2 days told him I was not aware of that when I made the purchase his comment to that was well the salesperson forgot I have some if you could call and see if the table could be delivered to the store earlier he said no that was outside of his control and that two days was the best they could do I told him why I needed table before then his comment was well that's not my problem we have been a loyal customer at Sam Levitz for years most of the furniture in my house was purchased at your store and all this time I've never been handled with such indifference and rudeness not happy 11/20/2022 Jimmie Hubert

I had some purchases and returns and ended up with a mixed set. The amount I was charged ended up being too much. With persistent contact and derailed documentation the issue was resolved and a credit was issued.

Terrible Rude service

Visited Pantano store to bur recliner, I am 53, 86 years old. Needed leather one that raise up to help me get up, and recline for sleeping.

Showed me 2 in stock, not leather, then took me to another location in store, pointed one out to me, didnt stay to see my reactions. He said, go to Lazy oh down the street or Copenhagen, pick one out, order it with 6 month wait time, and pay triple amount of money, then walked away. We did go to Lazy Boy, extremely great service, found perfect chair, remote control, leather $3009 with tax, will be delivered Friday 4/29.

Sam Levitz was a friend of mine, wish he was living, he would not tolerate such rudeness. I have bought many pieces of furniture from Levitz.

This was the last time I will step foot in store.

Just because my husband and I are elderly, were not stupid, both have PhD, and far from being low to middle income. Visit was around noon, older man (refrain from saying nice) man, medium build, grayish hair and RUDE beyond belief.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE STORE, IN THE DELIVERY DEPARTMENT, RUDE MANAGERS, IRRESPONSIBLE AND BAD QUALITY BEHAVIOR OF THIS COMPANY SAM LEVITZ Furniture. HOW Can they survive?

Bought and was delivered dining table on 7.9.21 with 4 bad chairs, chipped paint, cracked wood, all chairs have one leg shorter than the rest. Contacted Sam Levitz Furniture on Pantano in Tucson, manager refused to deal with me saying that they just sell furniture, after delivery we need to deal with Sam Levitz Furniture Delivery giving me the phone number. Today they delivered

replacement 4 chairs equally bad, unequal legs, cracked, badly assembled, saying delivery will call us in an hour. Nobody called.

I called delivery, they said, whole set will be picked up in 3 days, discontinued, they have no more new sets. They delivered us whatever they found in the warehouse putting together what they had. Also said, will come to pick this up they gave me an upgrade for reselection and the store will pick up the price difference. I bought also $89.99 insurance added to price .

Went to store on Pantano, Tucson , they had nothing placed for me in the system in terms of upgrade, manager stated I must pay the difference for reselection, no inconvenience credit given, no upgrade placed in the system. I left the store disgusted. Contacted Delivery, who said, it is already more than 5 days since 1st delivery date and from now on I need to deal with customer service, not any more Delivery's responsibility. Time is crucial, need to leave on a trip in 3 days and nobody cooperates, I feel that I will be stuck with a bad set of furniture.

Chaos and lies, and I feel trapped in a situation, Getting the run around. One star rating.

Preferred solution: immediate pickup of the bad product, because I need to travel for 5 weeks starting 7.17.21 , table and 4 chairs and full refund, $349.00 for furniture, $89.98 and Taxes $38.19 total $477.18, to credit my credit card.

Horrible customer service

I purchased a large, solid wood console cabinet on April 8th from the Sam Levitz website. I paid extra to have it delivered.

Levitz sent an automated acknowledgment email; and saying they would contact me about the delivery date. They never contacted me.

Four days later, I emailed them regarding the delivery date on my furniture. Again they sent me an automated email thanking me for sending them an email!! Period.

So, next, I called their customer service number.

After a wait, I finally got to speak to a rep. She looked at the database and said their records showed that they already called me and left a voicemail with delivery date. They didnt. This is a lie!!

Dont they know that cell phones have call records?!? And, the rep hung up on me.

So, I sent another email. This time I was irate and said I would contact the Better Business Bureau. Lo and behold!

Instead of sending me just another automated email, I got an email from their manager telling me a delivery date. See, if you send them polite emails asking for necessary informationthey ignore you and send an automated email that thanks you for your email. Ridiculous!

But if you mention the Better Business Bureau, suddenly a real human being responds to your email!!

Well, after LYING about phoning me with delivery info and NOT notifying me of a delivery date until I became irate 4 days later, and after ignoring two of my emails, and after the customer service rep hanging up on me...

I DID contact the Better Business Bureau. Sam Levitz Furniture should be hearing from BBB shortly...because I want a full refund on that console cabinet ASAP!

Horrible customer service

On Saturday 3/6/2021 I decided to purchase a much needed table for a birthday party I was having the next day on 3/7. I specifically looked for one that said it was in stock and ready for pick up. After making the online order, I was told that my order was ready and available for pick up at the Prince location. After waiting at that location for almost 2 hours we were told that they did not have it there, it was actually at the 36th Street location. I decided to call before making another unsuccessful trip. The girl I spoke to stated she was showing it was at the Prince location in the system but that she would look into it and call me back. After a couple of hours and not hearing back, I figured it was close to closing time and most likely was not going to hear from her until Sunday. On Sunday I called and was on hold for over an hour waiting to see if they located the table and if we could still possibly pick up before our party. By that time I was livid and just said forget it. I will have to make due with what I have. On Monday, my husband said he would still like to get the table for future use so I called and spoke to a Sales Manager by the name of Ian. He told me that he would look into it and call me back. Less than 30 minutes later he called me back and told me it was at the 36th street location and ready for pick up. My husband went to pick up and of course when he got it home it was missing the bottom base, legs, and hardware. I tried calling back to ask for the manager Ian and they had me on hold for over an hour again. My husband decided to just drive back down there and speak to him personally but instead Ian decided to hide from my husband and not come out to talk to him. All in all we just cancelled the order but I am so amazed at how everything was ran with no apologies, no sincerity, nothing! Being a former employee of Sam Levitz, it's crazy to see that not a thing has changed!!

Made a purchase at Sam Levitz NW on 12/07, When I got my statement, I was double billed for the same purchase. My boss also had the same issue at the same store. Stay away. Good luck trying to resolve it!

This message is for Steve Speaks (if there is such person since I couldn't confirm with anyone at Sam Levitz) about your customer and delivery service.

I was lied to about delivery dates so I requested my money back. Your (possibly mgr.) employee Kassi and cashier ID 008 were very unprofessional and rude to my situation.

Kassi preceded to explain that because of Covid-19 deliveries were impossible. Kassi said "we don't get paid until the delivery is made" wouldn't you have faster times of deliveries if that were so? I ASK YOU, if Sam Levitz can't make deliveries because of Covid-19 why does the advertising continue.

Why don't you just close the business down so that people like myself will not shop there.

Very misleading!

It was a very bad experience altogether to include getting my refund.

Your employees need a training class in customer and delivery service. Especially when Kassi and cashier yelled across the showroom in a very sarcastic tone "Bye, thank you for shopping at Sam Levitz".

I will advice family and friends of my experience.
